Urgh.
Am I the only person on the face of the earth that finds Metallica's songs absolutely, goddamn, yawn-inducing boring?

The only reason this comes up is because my radio station of choice has been playing more of their stuff recently to 'celebrate' them getting inducted into that hall of fame thing. It always seems to me that the songs are generally between five and ten minutes long and never go anywhere musically, and this causes me to boggle about what all the fuss is about.

Also, Lars Ulrich is a douche.

I like about 2 of their songs but not enough to bother trying to download them XD. Besides them everything is very boring indeed, I don't think they suck but they sure aren't my thing~

I think Enter Sandman is the only thing of theirs that I actually have a good opinion about.

It's not like I think they're absolutely terrible, but their music just creates no emotional response from me. Music... should, you know? Even bands I don't like at all, like Billy Talent or the White Stripes, at least I get annoyed when I listen to something of theirs. Metallica... it evokes nothing. The sound is just the same thing, twisting around itself, going on forever and doing nothing interesting.
